A Singapore permanent resident, Chang Lee Won, tragically lost her life in a collision on Malaysia's North-South Expressway early Thursday morning, Oct. 31. The 44-year-old woman died instantly in the accident.
Chang was traveling with her Singaporean husband and their two sons, aged 16 and 19, for the Deepavali holidays. Reports indicate that the family was en route to Chang's hometown in Kuala Lumpur when the accident occurred around 5 a.m. They were in a Hyundai Starex.
In the accident, Chang’s husband and their 16-year-old son sustained minor injuries, while her 19-year-old son and the Malaysian driver were seriously injured. The driver and a Bangladeshi passenger in the other vehicle, a Toyota Unser, also suffered slight injuries.
