Soccer Star Neymar Publicly Apologizes to Pregnant Girlfriend Bruna Biancardi for His ‘Mistakes’

Soccer player Neymar is asking for forgiveness.

In a social media post, the professional athlete offered a public apology to his pregnant girlfriend Bruna Biancardi for "mistakes" he has made in the past. 

"I do this for both of you and your family," Neymar wrote on Instagram Wednesday, via translation. "Justify the unjustifiable. No need to. But I need you in OUR lives."

The Paris Saint-Germain forward continued, "I saw how much you were exposed, how much you suffered with all of this and how much you want to be by my side. And I stand beside you. I did wrong with you all."

The apology comes just two months after the couple announced they were expecting a baby later this year.

In his latest post, Neymar expressed his hope that their relationship can withstand this challenging period. 

"I can't imagine myself without you," he wrote. "I don't know if we're going to work, but TODAY you're the certainty that I want to try. Our purpose will prevail, our love for our baby will win, our love for each other will make us stronger."

While it's unclear exactly what Neymar is apologizing for, the soccer player explained why he wanted to post something to his 210 million Instagram followers. 

"Bru, I already apologized for my mistakes, for the unnecessary exposure, but I feel obligated to publicly reaffirm that," he shared. "If a private matter has become public, the apology must be made public."

Biancardi has not publicly responded to Neymar's apology. Instead, the model took to Instagram Thursday and offered a look inside a visit to a fashion designer's showroom.
