SINGAPORE AIRLINES TO RESUME A380 FLIGHTS TO LONDON

Singapore Airlines is to resume using Airbus A380 aircraft on some flights between London and Singapore from 19 November.

The superjumbo will be deployed on one of the airline’s daily Heathrow-Singapore services, which will be the first of its A380s to return to service on a long-haul route.

Singapore Airlines will fly the A380 on flight SQ317 departing Heathrow at 10.55am every day from 19 November to 26 March 2022. The flight will be one of Singapore’s designated Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) quarantine-free services.

Mohamed Rafi Mar, general manager UK & Ireland at Singapore Airlines, said: “The return of the Singapore Airlines A380 to the skies is a positive step towards international travel recovery.

“By bringing the aircraft back to the UK, we are delighted to offer our passengers enhanced travel options between London and Singapore. We look forward to welcoming them on board our aircraft, where they can continue to enjoy comfortable and safe journeys with Singapore Airlines.”

Singapore Airlines was the first carrier to operate the superjumbo in October 2007 and it was also the first to fly to the UK the following year.

The A380 operates with four cabins, including six first class suites featuring their own beds and privacy doors.

To promote the return of the superjumbo, Singapore Airlines is offering a range of special fares starting at £405 per person.
