Motorcyclist killed in accident along KJE; lorry driver arrested for careless driving
A tragic accident on the Kranji Expressway (KJE) claimed the life of a 52-year-old motorcyclist on the morning of Wednesday, October 23. According to the police, they received alerts about a collision involving a lorry, a trailer, and a motorcycle around 7 AM on the KJE, heading towards the Pan Island Expressway.
The incident occurred just before the Senja Road exit. Emergency responders from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) pronounced the male motorcyclist dead at the scene.
The 24-year-old lorry driver has since been arrested on charges of careless driving causing death. Eyewitness footage captures the motorcyclist in red navigating between the white lorry and a blue trailer when the lorry changes lanes, striking the motorcyclist and sending him into the trailer, which then ran over him.
Police are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
