Ex Mediacorp Actress Carole Lin’s 6-Year-Old Daughter Has A Pet Beetle… That She Brought To School For Show-And-Tell

Now this has us bugging out. In a good way.

On June 8, former Mediacorp actress Carole Lin, 49, shared on Instagram that her six-year-old daughter, Brooklyn, had a show-and-tell session in school recently. 

According to Carole, the kids were tasked to “bring something from nature”.

Instead of going the easy route, which was the bring a flower or plant, Brooklyn had something a little more unique up her sleeve.

Hello there, Beetles.

As it turns out, the family had recently “rescued” a beetle that they found “barely alive” in their balcony.

“She was determined to “nurse” it back to life,” shared Carole, revealing that Brooklyn had taken charge of their new family member, which they named “Beetles".

Apart from making Beetles a “sanctuary" using twigs and leaves, Brooklyn gave it loads of TLC, which aided in its eventual recovery.

Carole also revealed that the beetle managed to take flight two days later.

Does this mean that the family’s pet beetle has since flown the coop, so to speak?

She's fearless.

In any case, it was a good learning experience for Brooklyn, who’s definitely not afraid of any creepy-crawlies.

”I love how you love. I’m glad that you are loving school too,” wrote Carole.

Carole tied the knot with her American-born Korean chiropractor husband, David Lim in 2014. They welcomed their daughter, Brooklyn, a year later.
